Monosaccharides (2) (NH2P-50 4E)

Monosaccharides were analyzed using Asahipak NH2P-50 4E, a column for saccharides analysis. Fucose and rhamnose can be separated by adding phosphoric acid to the eluent.

[Note] This analysis requires column equilibration.
For column equilibration: First introduce 60 mM Phosphoric acid aq. at 0.5 mL/min for 2 hours, and then switch to the eluent.


Sample : 0.5 % each, 10 μL
1. Rhamnose
2. Fucose
3. Xylose
4. Arabinose
5. Mannose
6. Glucose
7. Galactose


Column       : Shodex Asahipak NH2P-50 4E (4.6 mm I.D. x 250 mm)
Eluent       : (above); 250 mM H3PO4 aq./CH3CN=20/80
               (below); H2O/CH3CN=20/80
Flow rate    : 1.0 mL/min
Detector     : RI
Column temp. : (above); 50 °C, (below); 30 °C
