Ginsenoside (Carrot Saponin) (NH2P-50 4E)

Ginseng is known to have various medicinal effects which could be attributed to its’ main ingredient is a saponin called a ginsenoside. About 40 types of ginsenosides have been discovered. Due to differences in chemical structure, these have various different pharmacological actions, such as antioxidant action, platelet anticoagulant action, vasomotor neuromodulation, lipid profile and improvement of cardiovascular disease. Simultaneous analysis of ginsenosides Rg1, Re and Rb1 was performed in HILIC mode using a polymer-based amino column Asahipak NH2P-50 4E. Ginsenoside Rg1, Re and Rb1 were detected when granular-type ginseng tea was analyzed as a sample. When honey was added to this ginseng tea, In this condition, it is also possible to separate and detect glucose and sucrose simultaneously with ginsenoside.

(Sample preparation method)
(1) Dissolve 0.1 g of ginseng tea in 3 mL of water
(2) Add 3 mL of acetonitrile to (1) and mix
(3) filtration of (2) with 0.45 μm filtration
