LC/MS Analysis of Pipecolic Acid (NH2P-40 2D)

Pipecolic acid or piperidine-2-carboxlyic acid was analyzed by Asahipak NH2P-40 2D a polymer-based amino column under HILIC mode. Pipecolic acid has been proposed as a diagnostic indicator of pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy. Hydrophilic compounds are retained at a high concentration of acetonitrile under HILIC mode conditions. This is advantageous for the high sensitivity analysis by LC/MS.
