Analysis of Saccharides in Coconut Water (NH2P-50 4E)

Coconut water is not only a natural drink for hydration, but is also rich in dietary fiber and can expect to provide high health benefits such as anti-aging, antibacterial and nourishing tonic properties. In this application, saccharides and sugar alcohols in coconut water were quantified. Coconut water does not contain many interfering matrixes for saccharide analysis. Thus, it requires only a simple sample pretreatment by diluting a commercial coconut water 1+1 with acetonitrile and filtering the mixture using a 0.45-µm membrane filter.
