Effects of Potassium Hydroxide Concentration on Retention Time (2) (SI-36 4D)

Please use this column with suppressor type ion chromatography system.

The concentration of potassium hydroxide in the eluent influences the retention of each anion when analyzed by IC SI-36 4D (a column for anion analysis). The relationship between potassium hydroxide and the anions' retention time is shown below. Anions elute faster with higher concentration of potassium hydroxide. The retention volumes of phosphate ions, sulfate ions, sulfite ions and carbonate ions are shortened by increasing the concentration of potassium hydroxide.
