Six anions were analyzed using an anion analysis column for non-suppressor method, IC I-524A, with the eluent of octanesulfonic acid/boric acid. High sensitive analysis can be obtained with this eluent due to the low background and stable baseline when a large sample volume, up to 200 μL, is injected. System peak will not appear with this eluent.
Please refer to High Sensitive Detection Method for Anions.
(Preparation of eluent)
Put 0.195 g of reagent grade sodium octanesulfonic acid and 1.22 g of reagent grade boric acid into a volumetric flask and dilute with pure water to make up a 1 liter solution and dissolve with sonication.
Sample : 1 mg/L each, 200 μL
1. F-
2. Cl-
3. NO2-
4. Br-
5. NO3-
6. SO42-
