High Sensitive Detection Method for Anions (I-524A)

When anion standards are analyzed using an anion analysis column for non-suppressor method, IC I-524A, the eluent of octanesulfonic acid / boric acid is suitable for high sensitive analysis. The background of the eluent is low and baseline drift is small even when a large sample volume, up to 200 μL, is injected. The table below shows the detection limit of each anion.
Please refer to 'Anion Standards (8) (Eluent : Octanesulfonic Acid and Boric Acid)'.

(Preparation of eluent)
1) Put 0.195 g of reagent grade sodium 1-octanesulfonate and 1.22 g of reagent grade boric acid into a volumetric flask.
2) Dilute with purified water to make up a 1 liter solution.
3) Dissolve using an ultrasonic vibrator.
4) Pass through a 0.2 μm membrane filter before use.
