The CLNpak EV series, columns for GPC clean-up, does not require special device and can be used with a conventional HPLC device. However, fast flow rate settings may affect the separation efficiency as the eluent and the sample solution that go through the column do not reach the set temperature. It is recommend to equip a “coiled SUS tubing” inside the column oven in such cases. The coiled SUS tubing should be placed in-between the injector and the column. A 0.5 mm I.D. x 10 to 20 m SUS tubing will be suitable making the coil. An example of equipment configuration is shown below.
