Analysis of Glucuronic Acid and Glucuronolactone (KC-811)

A column for organic acid analysis, RSpak KC-811 was used to separate D-glucuronic acid and glucuronolactone. Glucuronolacone is a type of lactone, produced by dehydration synthesis of carboxyl group and 3'-hydroxyl group on D-glucuronic acid.


Sample : 0.01 % each, 20 μL
1. D-Glucuronic acid
2. Glucuronolactone


Column       : Shodex RSpak KC-811 (8.0 mm I.D. x 300 mm)
Eluent       : 3 mM HClO4 aq.
Flow rate    : 1.0 mL/min
Detector     : RI
Column temp. : 40 °C
