According to the National Standard of China GB 1886.98-2024* “National Food Safety Standard – Food Additive Lactitol”, quantification of lactitol and other sugar alcohols by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) specifies a use of a stainless-steel column packed with porous ion-exchange resin, or a column with equivalent performance. Shodex SUGAR SP0810 column confirmed that lactitol, galactitol, and sorbitol were well separated.
