According to the “Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China” and the “Administrative Measures for the Safety Review of New Food Raw Materials,” the National Health Commission of China has approved the safety of arabinoxylan for consumption and its use as a food ingredient. For the analysis of arabinoxylan, the method specifies the use of an H type carbohydrate analysis column (7.8 mm (I.D.) x 300 mm (length), particle size: 5 µm) or a column with equivalent performance. Using SUGAR SH1011 column, good linear calibration curves for xylose, arabinose, xylobiose, and xylotriose were obtained.
