Chiral Separation of Tryptophan (CRX-853)

A column for chiral separation, ORpak CRX-853, was used to separate D and L optical isomers of tryptophan.


Sample : 10 μL
DL-Tryptophan 100 μg/mL
(in eluent)
1. D-Tryptophan
2. L-Tryptophan

Column       : Shodex ORpak CRX-853 (8.0 mm I.D. x 50 mm)
Eluent*      : 10 mM CuSO4 aq./CH3CN = 60/40  
Flow rate    : 1.0 mL/min
Detector     : UV (280 nm)
Column temp. : 50 °C
