Hydroxypropyl cellulose is an ether of cellulose in which hydroxyl groups are hydroxypropylated. There are many classes of hydroxypropyl cellulose which differ in their viscosity. Hydroxypropyl cellulose is used as coating agents, stabilizesr, binders, etc. In this application, hydroxypropyl cellulose of two different molecular weights were analyzed using OHpak SB-806M HQ, a column for aqueous SEC column.
