For the analysis of polysaccharides such as starch, which does not dissolve easily in water, samples can be analyzed using OHpak SB-806M HQ by SEC mode with an aqueous eluent after samples had been dissolved in DMSO. However, this method was unsatisfactory as undissolved components were left undetected.
