Anion Standards (7) (Anions and Organic Acids)

Anion standards were analyzed using IC I-524A. The concentration of phthalic acid is lower than that of Anion Standards (6) (I-524A). This eluent condition is suited to the separation of anions and organic acids. The elution times of the organic acids are indicated by arrow marks.

(Preparation of eluent)
Put 0.249g of reagent grade phthalic acid, 0.171g of reagent grade trishydroxymethylaminomethane and 18.5g of boric acid into a 1 liter messflask and dilute with pure water to make up a 1 liter solution and dissolve it by stirring and warming.

This method is patented in Japan by Shimadzu Corporation.
