Vitamin E

Silica 5SIL 4D column is suitable for the separation of tocopherols. The chromatogram on the left shows the separation of α-, β-, γ- and δ-tocopherol by normal phase mode using the column with a mixture of n-hexane/isopropanol as an eluent. Asahipak ODP-50 6D is also suitable for the separation of tocopherols though α- and β-tocopherol cannot be separated with the column. The chromatogram on the right shows the separation of α-, β-, and γ-tocopherol by reversed phase mode using the column with a methanol eluent.
