Simultaneous Analysis of Various Nitrogen Compounds According to Japanese Testing Methods for Fertilizers (ES-502C 7C)

In Japan, the amount of various nitrogen compounds permitted in fertilizer is determined by the fertilizer control law. In this application, five kinds of nitrogen compounds were analyzed simultaneously using Asahipak ES-502C 7C, a polymer-based column for cation exchange chromatography described in the Japanese regulation for "Testing Methods for Fertilizers (2016*)". It was confirmed that the calibration curve of sulfamic acid shows good linearity respectively in the range from 1 to 50 μg/mL.
