LC/MS/MS Analysis of Sulfamic Acid According to Japanese Testing Methods for Fertilizers (ODP2 HP-2D)

Sulfamic acid has been known to cause germination failure in plants. In this application, LC/MS/MS analysis of sulfamic acid was completed using ODP2 HP-2D, a polymer-based column for reversed phase chromatography described in the Japanese regulation for “Testing Methods for Fertilizers (2016*)”. It was confirmed that the calibration curve of sulfamic acid shows good linearity respectively in the range from 10 to 600 ng/mL. ODP2 HP columns are usually used for reversed phase chromatography. Since the polarity of packing materials of ODP2 HP is relatively high, it is also possible to use these columns for HILIC mode like this application.
