Arabic Gum (SB-806M HQ)

Arabic gum is an acidic heteropolysaccharide which is constituted arabinose, galactose, rhamnose and glucuronic acid. It is isolated from the sap of the genus Acacia. The viscosity of arabic gum is much lower than that of other water-soluble polysaccharides. Arabic gum is used as a binder and coating agent. In this application, arabic gum was analyzed using OHpak SB-806M HQ, a column for aqueous SEC column.
