Hyaluronic Acid (2) (SB-806M HQ)

Hyaluronic acid is an anionic mucopolysaccharide which has a chain alternating disaccharide units composed of N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and D-glucuronic acid; it is found in synovial fluid, and umbilical cord, skin and eye tissue. Unlike other mucopolysaccharides, hyaluronic acid does not attach to proteins to form proteoglycans. Hyaluronic acid is used to improve joint function, an ophthalmological operation adjuvant, an endoscopic submucosal injectant and ophthalmic solution. In this application, three kinds of hyaluronic acid of different origin were analyzed using OHpak SB-806M HQ, a column for aqueous SEC column.
