Hydrolyzed Dextran (6) (VN-50 4D)

Oligosaccharides of hydrolyzed dextran were separated using HILICpak VN-50 4D by isocratic elution. VN-50 4D provides much better separation for oligosaccharides than conventional HILIC columns and each oligosaccharide is well defined between each chain. Furthermore, longer oligosaccharides can be detected with VN-50 4D.
*To improve the separation of mono- and di- saccharides, the ratio of acetonitrile can be increased.


Sample : 10µL
Hydrolyzed dextran 0.5%
(in H2O/CH3CN=50/50)


Column       : Shodex HILICpak VN-50 4D
               Shodex Asahipak NH2P-50 4D (4.6mmI.D. x 150mm each)
Eluent       : (VN-50 4D); H2O/CH3CN=40/60 
               (NH2P-50 4D); H2O/CH3CN=50/50 
Flow rate    : 0.5mL/min
Detector     : Shodex RI (small cell volume)
Column temp. : 40°C
