LC/MS Analysis of Tranexamic Acid (NH2P-40 2D)

Tranexamic acid is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine. When tranexamic acid is used internally it has hemostatic action, and when used externally on skin it has whitening properties. In this application, tranexamic acid was analyzed by Asahipak NH2P-40 2D, a polymer-based amino column under HILIC mode. Hydrophilic compounds are retained at a high concentration of acetonitrile under HILIC mode conditions. This is advantageous for high sensitivity analysis by LC/MS.
